The GlobeHopper Senior Plan is available for any US citizen or Resident, above the age of 65, who are enrolled into Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans, while visiting anywhere outside the USA, for a short period of time. It is not available for Non-US citizens, or US Citizens Green Card Holders who are not enrolled into Medicare. |
| Q3: Are pre-existing conditions covered by the GlobeHopper Senior plan? Pre-existing conditions are not covered by GlobeHopper Senior plan. However the plan covers up to $2,500 for a sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-existing conditions It is up to the attending physician to determine if a particular medical situation is related to pre-existing condition or not, and also if it would be considered as an acute onset or not. Please check the Description of Coverage for more information about what is considered as acute onset of pre-existing condition. |

The cost of GlobeHopper Senior varies based on several qualifying criteria, such as traveler’s age, duration or length of trip, and selected coverage benefit limits. Typically, GlobeHopper senior can cost about $8 a day for the duration of the trip for a US citizen or permanent resident 70 years of age selecting International travel coverage area that does not include USA . |

| Q6: Does GlobeHopper Senior cover coronavirus? The GlobeHopper Senior plan can cover for COVID-19 and will be treated the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed from the country of residence. | Q8: Why are there state restrictions and will it impact me if I visit one of those states? Each insurance company may have their own state-specific regulations on where plans can be sold. These state restrictions only impact residents from those specific states from purchasing these plans. However, if you are traveling to the United States, you will be covered in all 50 states during your active policy period. |
| Q9: Can I extend the plan, if I plan to stay longer? Yes, if you buy the plan initially for more than 30 days, you can extend the policy. You would need to extend the plan at least two days before the policy expires. There would be an extra $5 extension charge. |
| Q10: Can I cancel the plan, if I plan to go back earlier? Yes, you can cancel and get a refund for the Globe Hopper Senior Plan, if you need to go back earlier than plan. The following rules apply:

| Q11: Can I cancel only one person from the policy? You cannot remove one person from the policy if other travelers are included. We recommend letting the current policy lapse with all travelers or canceling and repurchasing for the remaining travelers as per the policy terms. |

| Q13: When will I receive my ID card? You can print out your ID card from your confirmation e-mail and it will be used as proof of insurance. While filling out the online application, you will receive confirmation in your e-mail. If you select paper mail/snail mail then you will receive the ID card in the mail within 5-10 business days. | Q14: What if I am traveling to multiple countries, will I be covered? Coverage will be provided in all eligible countries visited with the exception of your Home Country and any restricted countries listed in the policy documentation. Coverage will only be offered within the policy start and end dates. Please note: If any part of your trip includes the United States, please select it as your destination country. |
| Q15: When I buy this plan, do I need to make the full payment at once or do I have the option of paying it on a monthly basis? Based on the desired coverage length you have selected, you have to make the full payment at once. Since this plan is renewable you can renew it anytime you would like to before the policy expires. There is a renewable fee of $5 that associated with the renewal. |
| Q16: Are senior citizens able to purchase this plan, if they are on Medicare? This plan is designed for senior travelers who are looking for travel insurance to supplement their active Medicare Part A & Part B plans when traveling internationally. Medicare typically does not provide coverage outside the United States. We recommend reviewing the policy document to fully understand the coverage details, exclusions and benefits limits. |
| Q17: Is there a waiting period for coverage to begin on my travel medical plan? Coverage will begin on the date selected and once the policyholder has left their home country. The policy will only cover for conditions that occur after the policy effective date. |
| Q18: I'm traveling to multiple countries and inputted all the destinations during the quoting process. Why does my policy documents only list one destination country? Only the primary destination in the application will be listed on the policy documents, but rest assured that all other eligible inputted countries will be covered during the active policy period. |
| Q19: When does my coverage start and end on my travel medical insurance plan? Coverage on the travel medical insurance plan will begin on the date of departure (12:01am EST) and once the traveler has left their home country. Coverage areas are anywhere outside one's home country as long as the policy is active. The coverage will end immediately once the traveler has entered back into their home country and at 12:01am EST the day after the last date of coverage. |
| Q20: Will my GlobeHopper Senior plan be extended /renewed automatically? No, your GlobeHopper Senior plan won't be extended or renewed automatically. You have to sign into your account online and activate the extension or renewal yourself. Not all plans are extendable or renewable, so be sure to review your policy terms and conditions for eligibility. |
| Q21: Does the GlobeHopper Senior plan cover for the coronavirus vaccine/boosters? The GlobeHopper Senior plan does not cover for the COVID-19 vaccine/booster, but will cover COVID-19 treatment and services the same as any other eligible condition if contracted after the policy effective date. | Q24: What is a sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-existing condition? A sudden and unexpected onset is a sudden unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a Pre-existing Condition which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of Physician recommendations or symptoms, is of short duration. It has to be an acute medical condition that requires immediate medical attention. More conditions and restrictions apply. | Q25: What's the Rx Discount Card that comes with this plan? This is a discount savings program available to every certificate holder of the Patriot travel plans. This program allows card members to purchase prescriptions at one of over 35,000 participating pharmacies in the U.S. and receive the lower of 1) Universal Rx contract price or 2) the pharmacy regular retail price. This discount program is not insurance coverage. It is purely a discount program to purchasers of the Patriot travel plans. | Q27: Why do corrections take 3-5 business days and can't be a quick fix? The insurance provider recommends that you submit any correction requests in writing as your policy is a legally enforceable document. Following receipt of the correction, we send the request to the insurance provider; normally, the updates require 3-5 business days. They are processed in the order that they are received. We advise double-checking the information on the application before completing the purchase to prevent any errors and corrections. |
