| Q2: Are pre-existing conditions covered by the Patriot Platinum plan? Pre-existing conditions are not covered by the Patriot Platinum plan. However, the Patriot Platinum plan covers for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. It covers, with varying limits by age, up to $1,000,000 for people up to 69 years of age; For age 70 and over, the plan does not provide coverage for acute onset of a pre-existing condition. It is up to the attending physician to determine if a particular medical situation is related to pre-existing condition or not, and also if it would be considered as an acute onset or not. | Q3: What is an acute onset of a pre-existing condition for Patriot Platinum? For the Patriot Platinum policy, an acute onset is a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a Pre-existing Condition, which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of Physician recommendations or symptoms, and is of short duration. It has to be an acute medical condition that requires immediate medical attention. More conditions and restrictions apply. | Q9: Why are there state restrictions for Patriot Platinum and will it impact me if I visit one of those states? Each insurance company may have their own state-specific regulations on where plans can be sold. These state restrictions only impact residents from those specific states from purchasing these plans. However, if you are traveling to the United States, Patriot Platinum will cover you in all 50 states during your active policy period. |

| Q12: Can I cancel only one person from the Patriot Platinum policy? You cannot remove one person from the Patriot Platinum policy if other travelers are included. We recommend letting the current policy lapse with all travelers or canceling and repurchasing for the remaining travelers as per the policy terms. |
| Q13: What information do I need to buy Patriot Platinum? To purchase Patriot Platinum, you will need the traveler's names, date(s) of birth, home country address, and a valid credit card. |
| Q14: When will I receive my ID card for Patriot Platinum? You can print out your Patriot Platinum ID card from your confirmation e-mail and it will be used as proof of insurance. Patriot Platinum can cover for COVID-19 and will be treated the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed from the country of residence. The Patriot Platinum plan does not cover for the COVID-19 vaccine/booster. Patriot Platinum will only cover for COVID-19 testing if the policyholder is experiencing symptoms and the test is ordered by an attending physician for diagnostic purposes. | Q17: When I buy Patriot Platinum, do I need to make the full payment at once or do I have the option of paying it on a monthly basis? Based on the desired coverage length you have selected, you have to make the full payment at once. Since Patriot Platinum is extendable you can purchase the coverage for a shorter duration and then extend the coverage as needed. There is an extension fee of $5 that must be paid eveytime the policy is extended in addition to the additonal premium. |
| Q18: Is there a waiting period for coverage to begin on Patriot Platinum? Coverage will begin on the date selected and once the policyholder has left their home country. The Patriot Platinum policy will only cover for conditions that occur after the policy effective date. |
| Q19: I'm traveling to multiple countries and inputted all the destinations during the quoting process. Why does my Patriot Platinum policy documents only list one destination country? Only the primary destination in the Patriot Platinum application will be listed on the policy documents, but rest assured that all other eligible inputted countries will be covered during the active policy period. |
| Q20: When does my coverage start and end on my Patriot Platinum plan? Patriot Platinum coverage will begin on the coverage start date that was selected on the policy at 12:01 AM ET and once the traveler has departed from their home country. Coverage will end when the policy expires or when the traveler has arrived back in their home country, whichever happens first. |
| Q21: Will my Patriot Platinum plan be extended /renewed automatically? No, your Patriot Platinum plan won't be extended or renewed automatically. You have to sign into your account online and activate the extension or renewal yourself. Not all plans are extendable or renewable, so be sure to review your policy terms and conditions for eligibility. |

| Q25: Why does it take 3-5 business days to make a policy correction for Patriot Platinum? The insurance provider recommends that you submit any correction requests, for Patriot Platinum, in writing as your policy is a legally enforceable document. Following receipt of the correction, we send the request to the insurance provider; normally, the updates require 3-5 business days. They are processed in the order that they are received. We advise double-checking the information on the application before completing the purchase to prevent any errors and corrections. |

The Adventure Sports Rider offered in the Patriot Platinum plan is available for travelers up to the age of 65 and must be purchased at the time of application.
