Safe Travels International - Cost Saver is an A rated comprehensive Travel Medical insurance plan that provides medical coverage and other covered travel and emergency services for a traveler's temporary stay outside of their home country. The coverage duration is available from 5 days to 364 days. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan will pay 100% of eligible medical expenses up to the policy maximum. | Q1: Am I eligible for the Safe Travels International - Cost Saver plan? The Safe Travels International - Cost Saver plan is available for international visitors traveling anywhere outside their home country except the USA. |
| Q2: Does the plan cover for acute onset of pre-existing conditions? Unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition is covered up to $1,000 per policy period for individuals under 70 years old. |
| Q3: Does the plan covers for cardiac conditions? Cardiac conditions are covered up to $25,000 per policy period for individuals up to age 69, or $15,000 per policy period for those aged 70 and over. Please refer to the description of coverage for terms and conditions. |
| Q4: Which doctor or hospital can I go to? You can go to any doctor or hospital of your choice and be covered 80% of the first $5,000 then 100% thereafter for eligible medical expenses up to the policy maximum. |
| Q5: Does this plan have travel coverage? Yes, Safe Travels International - Cost Saver Insurance has on flight coverage from home country to the host country as well as back to home country. This coverage will only apply if the flight days fall during the plan effective dates. The cost of Safe Travels International - Cost Saver varies based on several qualifying criteria, such as traveler’s age, duration or length of trip, and selected coverage benefit limits. Typically, Safe Travels International - Cost Saver can cost about $4 a day for the duration of the trip for a person 50 years of age selecting International travel coverage area that does not include USA . |

| Q9: Why are there state restrictions and will it impact me if I visit one of those states? Each insurance company may have their own state-specific regulations on where plans can be sold. These state restrictions only impact residents from those specific states from purchasing these plans. However, if you are traveling to the United States, you will be covered in all 50 states during your active policy period. |
| Q10: Can I extend the plan, if I plan to stay longer? Yes, if you buy the plan initially for more than 5 days, you can extend the policy. You would need to extend the plan at least two days before the policy expires. |
| Q11: Can I cancel the plan, if I plan to go back earlier? Yes, you can cancel and get a refund for the Safe Travels International - Cost Saver plan, if you need to go back earlier than planned. The following rules apply: |
| Q12: Can I cancel only one person from the policy? You cannot remove one person from the policy if other travelers are included. We recommend letting the current policy lapse with all travelers or canceling and repurchasing for the remaining travelers as per the policy terms. |

| Q14: When will I receive my ID card? The print out of the on-line buying receipt/virtual ID card is the proof of insurance and can be used as an ID card. Additionally, you will be emailed the ID card that you can print and take to the doc/hospital. Also, when filling out the online application, you have the choice of getting supplemental information and ID card in the mail. If you would like to receive the ID card and plan details by mail then make sure to choose "yes" for mailed ID card. You should receive your insurance package at your mailing address within 5-10 business days of purchase. |
| Q15: What if I am traveling to multiple countries, will I be covered? Coverage will be provided in all eligible countries visited with the exception of your Home Country and any restricted countries listed in the policy documentation. Coverage will only be offered within the policy start and end dates. Please note: If any part of your trip includes the United States, please select it as your destination country. |

| Q18: Is there a waiting period for coverage to begin on my travel medical plan? Coverage will begin on the date selected and once the policyholder has left their home country. The policy will only cover for conditions that occur after the policy effective date. |
| Q19: Will my Safe Travels International - Cost Saver plan be extended /renewed automatically? No, your Safe Travels International - Cost Saver plan won't be extended or renewed automatically. You have to sign into your account online and activate the extension or renewal yourself. Not all plans are extendable or renewable, so be sure to review your policy terms and conditions for eligibility. |
| Q20: I'm traveling to multiple countries and inputted all the destinations during the quoting process. Why does my policy documents only list one destination country? Only the primary destination in the application will be listed on the policy documents, but rest assured that all other eligible inputted countries will be covered during the active policy period. |
| Q21: When does my coverage start and end on my travel medical insurance plan? Coverage on the travel medical insurance plan will begin on the date of departure (12:01am CST) and once the traveler has left their home country. Coverage areas are anywhere outside one's' home country as long as the policy is active. The coverage will end immediately once the traveler has entered back into their home country and at 12:01am CST the day after the last date of coverage. |

| Q25: How can I get a refund? Refund of total plan cost minus the processing fee is considered, if a written request is received by Trawick International prior to the effective date of coverage. If written request is received after the effective date of coverage, the unused portion of the plan cost may be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $50, provided no claim has been submitted. |
| Q26: I am traveling with a friend or domestic partner. Can we both be on the same application? Yes. One is listed on the form as Applicant and the other is Adult #2. |
| Q27: I want to purchase insurance for more then one visitor. Should I purchase two separate policies for them or have a combined policy? The benefits and cost does not differ if you buy individually or combined policies. If the visitors have different travel plans (might be coming together but leaving on different dates, etc.) it is recommended to buy separate policies. Having separate policies gives your more flexibility in extensions and cancellations. |
| Q28: I am traveling and I am pregnant. Will your plan cover me? Yes. We cover emergency medical treatment for pregnancy up to $2,500 on the Safe Travels International - Cost Saver Insurance. |
| Q29: Can I purchase the policy after I arrive at my destination? Yes, you may purchase the policy even after the traveler has entered their destination country. The policy must be purchased within 364 days of your arrival. Eligible benefits and coverage will begin after the policy’s effective start date. |
| Q30: Why do corrections take 3-5 business days and can't be a quick fix? The insurance provider recommends that you submit any correction requests in writing as your policy is a legally enforceable document. Following receipt of the correction, we send the request to the insurance provider; normally, the updates require 3-5 business days. They are processed in the order that they are received. We advise double-checking the information on the application before completing the purchase to prevent any errors and corrections. |
| Q31: Why is my premium $10 when the daily rate calculated is less? To purchase a Safe Travels International-Cost Saver policy, the minimum premium must be at least $10. If your total premium for the duration of coverage is $7, you will be charged $10 to meet the requirement. Safe Travels International-Cost Saver can cover Monkeypox and will treat it the same as any other eligible medical condition so long as the virus is contracted after the policy effective date and you have departed your home country.
